Halloween · Alcohol-free

Witches Brew Punch recipe.

Pineapple gives this witches brew a cloudy golden base, while white grape juice softens its tartness. A little green food coloring makes the Halloween color more predictable than juice alone. Leave it out for a pale, fruity punch with the same flavor.

Witches Brew Punch, served in a glass

For one party batch

Ingredients

  • 4 cups White grape juice
  • 4 cups Pineapple juice
  • 4 cups Lemon-lime soda

Optional: Lime slices; Green food coloring.

Makes 12 cups before ice and garnish. Serve ice in the glasses to avoid diluting the bowl.

Check ingredient labels for dietary needs.

Mix it well

How to make it

  1. Build the juice base

Pour the chilled white grape juice and pineapple juice into a large pitcher or punch bowl. Stir from the bottom to redistribute any settled pineapple pulp.

  2. Choose your shade

If using green food coloring, add one drop, stir thoroughly and check the color before adding more. The yellow pineapple base will affect the final green.

  3. Finish with fizz

Just before serving, slowly pour in the lemon-lime soda. Stir once or twice, float thin lime slices on top and serve over ice in individual cups.

Serving notes

For a less sweet bowl, replace some of the lemon-lime soda with plain sparkling water, keeping the total volume unchanged. Add food coloring before the soda so you do not have to stir away the bubbles.

Make ahead

Combine the two juices in a covered pitcher and refrigerate before the party. Keep soda sealed and cold until serving, and slice the limes shortly before they go into the bowl.
