Halloween · Alcohol-free

Harvest Apple Fizz recipe.

This light autumn punch pairs clear apple juice with white grape juice and ginger ale. It tastes brighter and less spiced than a cider punch, making it a good choice alongside rich party food. Fresh apple slices make the fruit flavor visible in the bowl.

  • 4 cups Ginger ale

Mix it well

How to make it

  1. Combine the clear juices

Mix cold apple juice and white grape juice in a serving pitcher. Use apple juice rather than cloudy cider if you want a clear golden drink.

  2. Slice the apples last

Core an apple and cut it into thin wedges just before serving. Slip the wedges into the juice mixture promptly rather than leaving them exposed on a board.

  3. Lift with ginger ale

Pour in chilled ginger ale slowly along the side of the pitcher. Give the mixture a gentle stir and serve immediately over ice.

Serving notes

Ginger ale varies in sweetness and ginger intensity. Start with the listed proportions, then replace a little of the ginger ale with sparkling water if your chosen brand makes the punch too sweet.

Make ahead

Keep the apple and white grape juices mixed and refrigerated. Leave the apple whole until serving time and add the ginger ale only when you are ready to pour.
