The rules of the bowl

Terms of service.

Last updated 28 October 2026. Using the site means you accept what is on this page. It is written to be read, not to be waded through.

What you are agreeing to

Party Punch Lab is a free punch calculator with a recipe list attached. There is no account and nothing to buy from us, so the agreement is simple: use it for your own parties, be reasonable about what you do to the site, and take responsibility for the bowl you actually serve.

“Be reasonable” means: do not scrape the recipes and resell them as your own site, do not hammer the servers with automated requests, do not try to break in or interfere with how the site works. Linking to any page is always fine and welcome.

What it costs

Nothing. The calculator, every recipe and every guide is free to use — no account, no trial, no subscription, no card, no paywalled batch size.

The only money involved is your own: the groceries you buy for the bowl, and anything you choose to order from a shop that is not us.

What the numbers are

One serving is 8 US fl oz. Every quantity on this site is arithmetic from that starting point, not a portion we weighed.

Strength is computed from the typical ABV printed on supermarket bottles, then rounded down. It is an estimate of a recipe, never a measurement of your bottle, and punch served over ice lands lower than the number shown. See the about page for the maths and for which parts of the site are automatically tested.

The ratios have not been kitchen-tested. They are sensible starting points; taste the batch and adjust it.

The punch bowl is yours

Half the recipes are non-alcoholic and half are not. We publish both and decide neither for you. Whoever hosts the party decides who drinks what: ages, local law, pregnancy, medication, allergies and the drive home are your judgement, not a number on this page.

The standard-drink figure exists to help you plan a bowl, not to tell anyone they are safe to do anything. Do not use it that way.

Your plan and your device

Your guest count, chosen drink and checked-off shopping items are saved in your own browser. That is convenient and it is fragile: clearing your browser data clears the plan, and we cannot restore it from our side because we never had a copy. Export the plan from the shopping list if you need it to survive the week.

The privacy page covers what is stored, what is not, and how affiliate links are disclosed.

Who owns what

The recipe text, guides, calculator and artwork on this site belong to Party Punch Lab. Print a shopping list for your own kitchen, screenshot a batch plan for your group chat, cook the punch for your friends — all fine. Republishing the site wholesale, mirroring the calculator, or passing our pages off as someone else’s work is not.

Questions about reuse beyond that: support@partypunchlab.com.

If the rules get broken

We do not police anyone’s party, but the site has to keep working for everyone else. If someone scrapes the recipes and resells them, floods the servers with automated requests, or tries to break in or interfere with how it works, we can limit or block that access — from an address, a network, or wherever else the traffic is coming from — for as long as the misuse lasts.

If content from this site turns up republished as someone else’s, we ask them to take it down first. Writing to support@partypunchlab.com usually settles it. If it does not, we keep the remedies the law allows, including asking a host or a registrar to remove it.

We can change, pause or stop any part of the site, and you can stop using it whenever you like — there is no account to cancel and nothing to close. These terms end when you stop using the site, except the parts about ownership, reuse and the limits of our liability, which keep going.

Third-party shops

Some pages link to shops for bowls, cups and decorations. Those shops set their own prices, stock, delivery terms and returns policies, and we do not control them. If you buy through one of our links we may earn a commission; the full disclosure, including what we will never link, is on the affiliate section.

No warranty, and the limit of it

The site is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for a ruined batch, a wrong grocery bill, an over-corrected float, or any decision made with or without the help of a number on this page. Where consumer law gives you rights that cannot be limited, those rights still apply — this paragraph does not touch them.

Changes

The recipes grow, the calculator changes, and this page changes with them. Updated terms are posted here with a new date, and using the site afterwards means the version on the page. Substantial changes get called out on this page rather than buried in it.
